i am sorry if i steped on anybodys toes by what i said. but it dosent matter how many awards or how many years you have done something you are always learning something new. there are more than one way to do something and there is a right way to do something wrong and it turn out right. and for all those that think that i came from BYC you are wrong i just got on there today and they do have some good info. also i am not just a backyard waterfowl keeper like some think i take my birds very seriously. just becuse i have a small flock dosnt mean this. i have limited space and thats why i dont have hundreds of birds. i hope to buy a place with a pond where i can have that many. i am very lucky that my landlord lets me have them. and the guy that owns the pond lets me use it for my birds. so i guess what i am trying to say is i am sorry and i am not who you think i am.

Whatever hobby a person may have, there are internet forums dedicated to that hobby. Amongst said forums, there will generally be a big, huge one (or more) which kisses Google's butt and is run by a total know-nothing computer dweeb who rakes cash off all the drones. Then, there are the smaller ones, owned and/or frequented by knowledgeable enthusiasts who are quite often banned from the bigger forums for being "inciteful" (or is that "insightful"? haha) This is true of chickens, BMWs, mountain biking...anything...probably even crochet.
Personally, I would much rather have somebody with some true knowledge give me the straight scoop, sans sugar, than to get a bunch of senseless, regurgitated opinions from a bunch of armchair quarterbacks (at best).
Look at this girl...3900+ posts at the "Wal*Mart of chicken forums" and just look at what she did to her peep: http://www.backyardchickens.com/forum/viewtopic.php?id=308311

wow i feel really bad for that poor chick. even as a kid before i had any type of bird i knew that only corn was bad. maybe thats becuse i went to farms for field trips. anyways some of the info they gave her was good. i dont think she has ever had any chickens before this one. or she didnt reserch enough. i personaly beleave in reachering something before you do it. thats what i did before i got my first duck. he was call duck named mavrick (r.i.p) and he stayed in the house for about 3 months. but thats becuse i was going through a hard time and i was very lonley. but while i was away durning the day he had a very nice pen.
