I might learn to spell Fav the same way twice if I keep having to retype it but you all get the gist.
Anyway, I'm considering adding Favs to my flock. The problem? I wouldn't no standard for the Favs if it hit me in the face. I need to locate a breeder that will ship and raises their birds to standard. So any help out there would be helpful.

I guess my suggestion would be to buy a Standard. The black and white edition is available from the American Poultry Assn. for about $12 - $14.

Having the standard and seeing the real thing are two completely different things. I know a good Silkie not from the standard but from what I have in my coop. What I need is someone who knows of breeders in the LF that I can purchase from.

Thank you, both. I've seen the website for Catalpa, not sure they ship. But I'll go give it another look. If I can not find any info on the Pattersons would anyone be willing to send it to me?

Thanks K. I don't do hatching eggs anymore. They changed something for shipping eggs, whenever they arrive all of the air cells are ruptured. After this last batch of a failed hatch I've quit ordering them.
Leisha, I sent you a PM.
Thank you both for giving me a direction to look in.

Robin, I don't know where you live, but somewhere on the East Coast is Dick Boulanger. I think he's still treasurer of Faverolles Fanciers of America. If you go to the website and look in the "how to join" or memberships page, I believe Dick's address is there (as to where to send the dues). If you happen to live anywhere close to him, maybe you can get some full-grown, gorgeous, SQ birds.
I have four bantam pullets that are from Rose Isgrigg's line. They are so awesome. I'm expecting some hatching eggs (from OK) soon after the New Year and I'm desperately hoping to hatch at least one cockerel. I know you'll love this breed. Good luck!

Edit: Oh duh - I didn't see that location was on the right of the posts. Well, TN is a bit far... You can find out if he'll ship birds. Turns out he's in MA.

You can reach Ron (or Jonathan) Patterson at 765-676-6192. I am sure they have email but I do not have it. I may be wrong, but I think Ron Patterson is now the Faverolle Club President. I am sure they will be happy to help you out.

Leisha, that was me you sent the email to when I asked about joining. So I've got the info, thanks, its much appreciated.
Just as soon as I find out if we are on the move again I'll give a shout out to the names you all were kind enough to supply. Its going to be bad enough moving about 100 birds, guineas are included in that count, without adding more in to the mix.

Thanks
