Has anyone heard of how many entries are in for the APA Semi Annual in Lucasville this coming weekend.??

Last I was told they was expecting around 2,500 but IDK I thought it would be bigger than that!!! Last fall their was more then that and is wasnt anything special but Im not sure!
I do know their Spring Show is smaller then the Fall Show

Are you kidding me? All spring shows are smaller than fall shows. 2500 for a spring show is fantastic. I don't know what you expect from the shows, but get involved in helping to run them, and then see if you'll still complain about the numbers.

Lucasville has only ever had one show bigger than 2,500 birds, spring or fall. That was the fall show the year that they hosted the APA Annual Meet.

I've since heard that they have about 2000 entries.

I still marvel at a 2000 bird spring show, even if it is an APA semi-National. I do wonder about the condition of the birds though.

I agree on both counts. The condition of waterfowl especially is challenging in spring. I have been known to have some turkeys which were actually presentable at spring shows, even by my standards. Now that's an accomplishment.
