What do y'all feed to your smaller breed ducks? Crumbles, pellets, grain?

Thanks for any help

Pellets . They waste crumbles & grain isn't a complete diet.

My Woodies rarely eat Mazuri waterfowl pellets in winter. But, come spring and summer they really gobble it up. It seems, hen scratch and romaine lettuce is a year-round favorite for both the wood ducks and my Grn-wing Teal. CaWoodduck, you mentioned feeding whole wheat. At times, I noticed my birds will leave the wheat alone in the hen scratch. Interesting. Thanks, Steve B.

Eh Steve,

Ya, wheat is the only grain i give them, i bet if they had a choice between corn and wheat they would choose the corn! I have given them a handful of scratch here and there for something different and they would scarf up the corn in a heart beat. I have tried one bag of crumbled gamebird maintenance before and it was a huge mess. I imagine if i could get it pellet form i would, but my birds are doing good on the Mazuri, its almost double the price, but the ducks are my stress relief and you cant put a price on that!

Take care bud...............Jason
