Hello,
I am new to the board and have lurked for awhile. This is my first post. My cousin recently had a rooster that died mysteriously and he thinks he might have got into some antifreeze. He feels so bad about the roosters death. I know it probably won't make much of a difference to my cousin but does anyone know if the death was long and painful or was it sudden (hopefully)?

I guess I should have done a google search before posting here. I just did one and it is not a peaceful death I'm sorry to say :(

Yep death by anitfreeze is not good.Thats why most people have theirs changed by professional's with proper disposal and should be kept stored safely away from pet's.Accident's do happen though.Remind's me several year's ago when Hubby and first got married and lived in a mobile home park. Most of the neighbor's were nice and most people that had cats were allowed to free range the park.Till several were found dead.I had a young pregnant one and she died in my front yard.My closest neighbor had autopsy done on hers.Basicaly raidaitor fluid poisioning.Well they had local animal control come in and humane society. They checked all waters in puddles etc.In front of one guys house he fained leaky radiator.Pfffffffff  .Well then when a neighbor lost a very expensive dog due to SAME puddle AGAIN!.He was taken to court.Mysteriosly he said a counter top appliance caused a fire that burned the trailer to the ground while he was away.Never heard about the court case on the animal cruelty because We were moving also ourselve's.But hope where ever that guy is NO animal's in sight for him.Think that's bad check this out :| http://forum.turkeyandturkeyhunting.com ... I almost hate to ask, but being the day after, is the rooster gone?

Yes, see my first post. He was found dead and the only thing my cousin could think of was he might have got into the antifreeze. We don't know for sure that's what happened but chances are good it is sadly. I always bring my cars to the shop to have any work done so I don't have to worry about that.
