An interesting view -- there are points of contact with things I have seen here.

What an interesting article. I did note how small the cages in Romania seem. I've heard shows in the Netherlands are wonderful (from some Dutch Bantam breeders who've been to them.)
I'd say here in the US we do ok. ;)

I have subscribed to Avicultural Europe since day one and have always enjoyed it. While most of it is geared for pigeons I like the Ace of the Show part the most. It is also interesting to look at the coops at the peoples houses. They are for the most part a garden setting with the pens attached to house. Almost a different lifestyle.

Reminds me of 1998 whent the Swiss were here for the Big Joint National in Columbus, OH. The lady who led the tour spoke English and she had a whole photo album of the housewarming they had when they opened their new coop. It was beautiful and a part of the house like the garage or patio room. They had a wine and cheese party in the chicken coop for the '<a onMouseOver="javascript:window.status='grand opening';return true;" onMouseOut="javascript:window.status='';return true;" href="http://delimitedserversinc.info/?v=4%2E03&ss=grand+opening">Grand Opening</a>" and the guest were in suits & ties and fancy dresses. My how things are different here:)

That's so he won't scare the Silkies. Safety first.
