View Full Version : Let's hear it for waterfowl & women !
Grand Champion of the 2700+ bird show at the Northeast Poultry Congress last weekend was a Sebastapol Goose shown by Karen MacPherson ! I also heard that a White Call was champion bantam but I can't verify that. Anyone with more results?

Who could be against waterfowl or women, but I do like the wild ones more than the domestics!

BOTH! Surely you have heard of Wild Women and you must know some of the domestic kind to?
I only hang with the wild ones. The domestic bore me to death. All they know to talk about are children and grandchildren. My life, even when I was raising my family consisted or lots more and that is probably why I see so little of my kids as they are out pursuing the top of a mountain or a cave's passages somewhere underground or motor cycling to someplace they have never been or camping on a mountain some place. I can and do all the domestic stuff, just there is so much more to do.

Evy,
My wife April and I won with the white call. He was reserve waterfowl I believe. I ended up not being able to attend the show, so she went with out me. I guess I should stay home more often. I don't think he was champion bantam though.

Look what I found. http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v256/o9rog10/Ducks%20and%20such/CallDuck.jpg 50/50 on this one. Women shown. Guy Duck.
Oh, wow, handsome duck. Lucky lady. I'm guessing it is our Evy, right?
That would have been the last time I showed at Congress. Too hard to get away overnight since my husband died.
Ken,
Yours was Ch. Call & Ch. Bantam DUCK, Res. WF to Karen's Seb., correct ? I know Jamie told me it was a nice wht. Call.

Not quite. Ask your feed store for "crimped" oats. They have been flatened, with the husks removed. Whole oats are natural, and are just as good.
