I think a duckling is going to die. I'm asking both for any advice I can do with the little guy, and also what is wrong with him so I can prevent it in the future. I'll tell you his symptoms.
I found him in the aviary all by himself leaning up against a log, and his mother had completely abandoned him. He can't walk because it seems like his legs won't bend the right way. Furthermore, when he tries to walk, he simply pushes himself back and flips over. His motor skills are completely shot. He tilts his head back and forth sometimes, and right now his head is always to his side. His mouth is repeatedly opening and closing, and I'm trying to give him a bit of water and food, and it looks like he's swallowing the water. Is there anything that I can do? What went wrong and what could have caused this?
Please help as soon as possible. :(
