Mallards as mothers

Has anyone ever tried mallards to hatch goose eggs? How did it turn out?

Must be no one's tried it, J. I do know wild type Mallards are good broodies but, depending on the size of the eggs, I don't know if one could cover more than 1 or 2. I have used them to hatch other duck eggs, extending it to 2 clutches, so I know time wouldn't be a problem. A Muscovy might be a better alternative, size-wise.
