Hi, I just need to know can someone tell me how cold hardy the doves are

I used to have ringneck doves and solid white doves and they seemed to be very hardy in the cold. The hardest part is keeping their water from freezing. They have to have fresh drinking water no matter how cold it is. If you have a shed or barn where you could put them to knock the wind off of them in the winter it would be a big help. I have even covered my cage with clear plastic before to help knock the winter wind off of them.
