Hi
I hope someone can help me. I have two chickens (stan & Ollie) both just over a year old. And the leader of the two (Ollie) has started just sitting around. It was really warm a week or so ago and thought it might have been the heat that had affected her, she has started walking around a bit more since the weathers changed but still doesn't seem as active as normal. She's still laying eggs and i've de-wormed them both. I took her to the vet, who said she was in perfect health.
I don't know what else to do. Ollie is normally a very active chicken- escaping from her pen and flying (flapping) off the top of her coop.
The last few weeks I haven't seen her do much more than walk slowly behind Stan pecking and sitting alone regularly.
Do chickens become less active as they get older (she is only a year old)?
I'd appreciate any advice
Thanks
