Hi,
I've not been around for some time and need some help, Please!
I rescued some birds a few weeks back, and they are in their own pen.
Now I see that some of them have swollen waterey eyes. What could this be and what should I do to help them get over it?
Thanks
Andrew

Are there any other symptoms than swollen eyes ? Is there any nasal leakage ? Wet looking feathers on the necks ? Are their actual sores on the birds faces and cones ? It may be fowl pox or infectious choryza hard to tell without actually seeing the birds or the symptoms. I would start of some good antibiotics just in case. Terramicin works well. Where did you rescue the birds from?

The link below has a good article on Infectious Chroyza http://www.peafowl.org/ARTICLES/15/

Many people are extremely reluctant to offer medical advice on this forum, (and I am one of them.) But I would suggest Tylan rather than Terramycin. Most of the poultry supply places carry it.
