I've been reading some of the posts about bathing - especially the whites - and there were a few mentions about leaving birds to soak, or putting them to the side while others get soaped. I'm wondering, what is your setup? I have all large fowl and do them one at a time, because I have no room in any bathroom. This way, of course, takes a long time. What are some good methods for bathing several large fowl - including white? Thanks! - Mary in NJ

Do you have a laundry room? That's where we do ours.

Depending on your weather or room inside your home of course, but the large tubs (some have rope handles) that you commonly see ice and drinks placed in, make good wash and rinse basins.
Not sure on the soaking. Perhaps having an extra one, filled maybe "breast high" with soapy water, and some sort of wire top?? Would imagine that could get pretty messy when the bird inevitably splashes around trying to get out :?

This isn't going to help, but folks got a kick outta watching me.. When I was heavily showing my Phoenix, I had birds with 6'+ tails. I would use my kitchen sink, left-soapy water, right-rinse water. Luckily, I have a decent length of counter top to the right of the sink, which I would cover with towels.
First, the body and approx 2ft of tail would be washed, and then rinsed. Then, I would place the bird on the counter and go back and wash approx. another 2ft of tail, move the bird, rinse that section, step back over, wash the last section, move the bird, etc.....
Take the towels that he was on, pat the tail dry, dry the body as much as possible, and place them on a display roost to complete drying.

Still think your's take a long time?? :P
