hello posted similar thread on chicken forum. just wondered if anyone had opinion on guinea vs chicken egg, taste consistancy nutrition i know smaller and shell seems much thicker. thanks kyfarm

The smaller an egg is the greater the proportion of yolk. Critical in some reciepies.
As far as taste goes- I don't know for sure but as a rule - the fewer eggs a bird lays (compare chicken and guinea) the richer they seem to taste.
Not to many guinea eggs are eaten, almost all are hatching stock so there won't be a lot of experience or knowledge on this subject.

I haven't tried them myself but my husband did once when we had an overabundance. He said they were ok, but he preferred chicken eggs. The shells are also a lot thicker than chicken or duck eggs and much harder to crack.
