One of the best indicators any poultry show has to rely upon is the headquarters hotel reservations. Well, for The OHIO NATIONAL it is a good sign!

Last Monday we received the list of persons with poultry show discount reservations. It covered all the rooms the Hilton had blocked for poultry exhibitors. They released another ten rooms to cover the folks who had contacted the show organizers rather than the hotel directly. Normally a hotel will only block about 2/3 of their rooms for any event.

So what. The show catalog goes in the mail tomorrow morning! We have never before had the HQ hotel fill up a week before the catalog went out. It would seem to be a sign that once again a very large show is in the making.

Don't worry about hotels however. We have made arrangements with the Comfort Inn at Polaris http://www.comfortinn.com/hotel-columbus-ohio-OH366 to furnish accommodations for our exhibitors. They have made the same offer that the Hilton did - $89.00 (plus the inevitable, and inflated taxes- sorry) for any room. That includes a few rooms with TWO king size beds. There are two things that a plus for the Comfort Inn. The breakfast which includes hot items is free and it is the closest hotel to the every popular Texas Roadhouse steak eatery. So when you have eaten to much you have just a short walk to your hotel. The Comfort does not have a bar like the Hilton but like I said - it is a very short WALK.

For that matter it isn't much of a walk to the Hilton either.

It is suggested that you make your arrangements for accommodations very soon.

I finally learned, and made my hotel reservations in July. Ha!

;)

Looking forward to it, oh so very much. Our favorite show, bar none. And the Hilton does indeed have a nice little bar area...

Hello, I posted on another forum about entering turkeys in the junior show. I was just curious as to how many turkeys are usually there, and how many junior birds total are generally entered. Our first year going mostly for the experience but we will enter a few birds.
Thank you,
Stacey
