As a rule of thumb I would say it is not adviseable--the ones I have seen are always fighting and Pheasant cocks mean business--they can be brutal!!!Pheasant hens just are to docile to keep with chickens--they end up getting picked on all the time---I would'nt do it unless you have a very big space for them to run in. :? My bantams have always gotten along well with my goldens. I do have 2 huge pens with branches and separate places for them to sleep. One of my pens contains a large hen with 2 ornery roosters (everyone in this pen is old) that all get along. However, my biggest pen which houses about 20 hens and had only 1 rooster with 3 golden males was ok until spring. My big rooster was attacking my goldens. Mr rooster swiftly got the boot to the outside world. Everyone gets along now. Just remember, even if they get along the rest of the year, when spring comes all rules go bye bye.

The size of the pen can make a difference as well as the breeds you are dealing with. Some breeds in both chickens and pheasants tend to be docile while others are much more agressive. Even individual birds can make a difference. We used to have silver pheasants which are always noted to be agressive. Never had any problem for several years and then all of a sudden one day a hen decided to beat up the cock that was in the pen with her and two other hens.
