I have a pair of India blues,what I understand is the female should be plain darb looking birds. Mine has the blue neck and and head like the male, but does not have the long showy tail. Do female sometime get as beautiful as the males?

How old is she supposed to be??? Sounds like "she" might be a young male.

Females will have some blue on the neck and head but not fully colored as the males. Look at the flight feathers on the wings. Males will have rusty colored flights and the females will be the brown/grey as the rest of the wings. Hope this helps.
