Today is the 18th day that I have been incubating my chicken eggs. I have had them on 50 percent humidity. I will stop turning today and need to raise the humidity. I have been told on this site by two different people to raise it to 55 and the other said 60. Would someone please clarify this for me. I just want to make sure I do the right thing. Thanks a bunch.

Update: After doing much research on my own this morning, I am really confused now. I have read everything from 55 percent humidity up to 70.

Someone PLEASE clarify this for me. Thanks

Most of us try to attain a 65% humidity during the final three days.

Thank you all so very much for all the help you have given me. I am incubating some different variety silkies and some blue splash morans. I will let you know on Thursday of my success.

Hey Sassy how did your hatch turn out? :?:

Oh thank you so much for asking. I hatched 10 multi-colored silkies and 2 blue splash marans. One of the marans was stuck in the egg and had to be helped over a 24 hour period but even he is doing quite nicely.
I started out with 24 eggs and about 4 days prior to hatch I candled them and 6 were not fertilized so I threw them away.
So with 18 remaining I hatched 12. I think that is pretty good.
This is such a wonderful site and everyone here is so helpful.
Again.... Thank you all for your kindness and support.
