The ABA meeting was Friday night. It is my understanding that Columbus will host the ABA National in 2010 and in 2011 the ABA National will be held at Indy.

The ABA nationals for 2010 will be at Columbus and 2011 at the Crossroads show in Indy. That was voted on on Saturday and approved. The only winner I think I am sure about was Supreme Champion for NEP was a brown leghorn, by Steve W, and I won't try to spell the name, but he is the one that is hooked up with Rick Hare for the white leghorns. The rest I am not sure about, I know the Champ Asiatic was a Buff cockeral Cochin by Tom Roebuck, The champion Bantam duck was a white call by I believe Barry Roberts, The champion feather leg was a white cochin not sure who owned it, I don't remember the exhibitor # The rest were a blur.

Just in from the NE Poultry Congress Show, had a fantastic time and would recommend this show to anyone. I for sure will be back! Had a busy day judging and a weekend of meetings but this is the meat of it. Hope others will add to it!
The 2010 ABA National Meet will be with the Ohio National Show , Nov. 13-14, 2010. Estimates are for over 6000 birds, I expect over 8000. The 2011 ABA Semi Annual Meet will be placed at the Semi Annual in Bakersfield, CA in March.
The 2011 ABA National Meet will be with the Crossroads of America Show, Oct. 28,29,30, 2011. This will be a combined National with the APA. This will also take place the same weekend as the American Rabbit Breeders Convention. Book your rooms ASAP, hotels near the fairgrounds will be scarce.

I really had a great time at the show. It is a show that I have been wanting to go to for many years and I was not dissapointed in anyway.
Although I will say that the people talk funny.....................
Bob
I have to agree with Bob .... was a great time ... It has been many years since I was at the Congress.... and they do it right. Had a blast! Enjoyed getting with old friends and new . It had a feeling of shows of days gone by... Hats off to the crew at the Congress. As for talking funny ... Bob at least they weren't " a fixin to do anythang"....lol.... god I love accents and regional sayings...

Patrick, I gave Neil a huge smack for forgetting to introduce us. I was there at the ABA table all weekend (well, most of it) and didn't know you were there.
You will now have to come to OH in November.

I am sorry, I thought I might have been wrong on that one, I was kind of tired from the drive home in the rain. I have been too busy to post. Congrats to the winner and again sorry for the misinformation.

Must have missed you. I stopped by and talked to Karen and Russ a few times, and then bought a few T shirts from another woman. Never really got to talk to Neil much either. Keep giving him those smacks. He can take it. I saw the Buckeyes too, assuming yours, but never got to study them either.

Well sheesh. That was either me, or Russ's wife. She has short black hair and glasses, I have long brown and sometimes wear glasses.

It wasn't you. If I had half an idea that it was, I would have said hello. I don't know about Columbus this year, we'll see, but definately at the combined APA/ABA National II at Indy in 2011. Can't wait. What a great boost for the fancy.
