I was wondering if any other counties have a seperate division where each 4-h member gets same breed of meat birds at the same age and see the difference of raising techniques....anyone have advise??? i have to present to livestock comittee and show them this is a good way to teach kids how to raise show birds properly. thanks

It is hot. And muggy. Instant sweat. Chickens are doing fine, though. Alpacas are fine. Goats are fine. Steer is fine. Dog and cats are fine. Peafowl eggs are in the bator, I'd better be a good momma hen and turn them again soon. I'm getting more eggs now that it is warm. What is the purpose of a blog? It just assumes that everybody wants to read what you are doing. How silly. I guess it helps you get to know people. Internet is so very strange.

My old hen from the seabright trio died suddenly and unexpectedly but since she did, the younger pullet has been awful chatty and her face is starting to get some color.
