Faszination Moderne Englische Zwergkampfer
Anyone have the link/address to the person who had this book available? I think it was someone in England that was selling them - there used to be info on the YahooGroups Modern list, but that list seems to have disappeared, or I'd use the archives.
Faszination Moderne Englische Zwergkampfer (Modern Game Bantam), by Detering, published in 2005. Any leads (such as names/contact info for poultry book sellers in England) appreciated! The email address I have for the UK Modern Game Club doesn't work, either. I had a copy, & really liked it, but lost it in a wildfire 3 years ago.

Veronica Mayhew is the dealer for that book. veronica.mayhew@virgin.net
She doesn't take Paypal ( or didn't) but she does take American checks.
Wilfred Detering did an amazing job on that book. When I set up a Club display at the MGBCA Nationals it is always a popular book
The UK Modern game club website (Alan Higgs) link is http://www.moderngameclub.co.uk/
There is a link to it and a few other Modern websites on the MGBCA's website at http://www.mgbca.org/

Jennifer,
Do you know if the people that you sold all your Large Moderns to are still breeding them?
There is a major resurgence in Large Moderns and I always tell people to try and find some of your Silver blues if they could because I thought that you had them looking extremely good.
It would be a shame if they were lost.

Thanks so much for the info!
I don't know if they're still breeding; their e-mail doesn't work anymore, & I have lost their address & phone number
I did sell a lot of hatching eggs the last 2 years before I sold my flock in '06, so hopefully, there's still some out there. (Just as well, since I don't think they would have survived the fire.) I don't know if Ed Vasques is still breeding, but I had shipped him a pair of adult lemon blues - I think in '05? And a fancier in New York, who wasn't into breeding big time, did have both eggs/chicks from me, & a superb brown red hen I shipped. I had two lines, the silver blue/birchens, & the brown red/lemons.
