    Default Bluegrass Poultry Show UPDATE

    Hi folks,

Just a reminder, the Bluegrass Poultry Association fall show is October 25th this year. One-day show being held at a new venue in Frankfort, KY. Big new hall, built-in food concession, wide aisles, no stacking (if we can possibly help it), and a new show secretary this year (yours truly.)

Our judges are the most excellent Matt Lhamon and Bob Gilbert, we do a Showmanship competition for the youth, and will do the usual raffles, a 50/50, and so on.

Here are some of our Meets:
    District Meet for the ABA
State Meet for the Rosecomb Bantam Federation
District Meet for the American Dutch Bantam Association,
District Meet for the Call Duck Assoc.
District Meet of the Ameraucana Breeders Club
State Meet for the Modern Game Bantam Club
A Game Challenge Meet for the Old English Game Club of America
    and more to come...

    See our new website here:

Or just email me offline for a show catalogue. Hope to see you there!

    Laura,
Both, Bob Gilbert and I are looking forward to judging your show in its new venue. Also, this is the first time I can remember that and ABA District meet has been held in Kentucky so I hope for a super turnout of bantams.

Should be! If nothing else, we'll be awash in Call Ducks!

I have just finished the show catalogue, and anyone who would like one as a PDF should email me at lhaggarty at blueone dot net and I'll send one right along.

The Bluegrass Poultry Association has set up a PayPal account for anyone who wishes to pay for their entries that way.

You can make a payment using this email address:

    Bluegrasspoultry at gmail dot com

(I haven't put the whole thing in so that spambots won't grab it. Just replace the at with @ and dot with a .)

    Thanks!

I'm about to print the show today/tonight, and at this point entries are at over 1,050 (going to the PO for one last time this morning.)

We have the excellent judges Matt Lhamon, Bob Gilbert, and Neil Grassbaugh has graciously consented to help out with the Junior show (since we are up so much in entries!)

We have exhibitors from as far as MI and AL coming, should be a good show! Lots of Call Ducks, this is the District Meet for their club.

Now if we could just be sure to get some good weather, everything would be perfect. Those of you driving from afar, please keep safe on the roads.

    Good job, Laura.
Next year, I'll plan to be there. Our son is a senior in the Purdue Marching Band & there's a home game this weekend. For the first time, my wife & I have season tickets....to watch the band, not so much the team, this year.

    Have a good show.
    Doug
