Default Oklahoma State Poultry Federation Show

The Oklahoma State Poultry Federation 92nd Annual Show will be held at the Heart of Oklahoma Exposition Center on December 13th and 14th. This year the OSPF will be hosting the American Silkie Breeders Club National and the American Sumatra Association National. If you would like a catalogue please feel free to email me at ghia4me@sprynet.com. For those that have attended the show before I will be sending out catalogues shortly and have your catalogues available for those attending the Tulsa State Fair this weekend. I will also have the catalogues for those exhibitors at the State Fair of Texas and the South Texas Fair in Beaumont.

This is one of the largest shows in the nation year after year and very centrally located. My wife and I have missed only one show in the last 7 years and that was because we were in the hospital having our first child. She is going to her first poultry show this weekend at 10 months old.
I recommend this show to everyone!!!

    See you there Hummer,

Hello Bo, I passed out catalogues this past weekend at the Tulsa State Fair and gave the catalogues for the Oklahoma exhibitors to Terry to hand out this weekend at the Newcastle show. Those that are not picked up then will be mailed out after that. I have already had a number of requests from out of state exhibitors that are interested in the ASBC National and the Sumatra National so it promises to be a good show.

I have to agree with you Bo.
All the big poultry suppliers are there and you don't have to pay shipping.
The pigeon show is a nice diversion, kind of different to see how they do things. There is lots of room and no double stacking( most of the time).

The thing is this show could rival any of the shows in size if it didn't limit it to 2800 entries and was really promoted. The good thing is you get a larger percentage of quality birds.

Down the road from Shawnee this weekend is the Newcastle Poultry Club show. It is another good show. While the numbers will only be around 6-800 birds it is the people that put the show on that put this one over the top. It is one of those type of shows that are the backbone of the exhibition poultry world where substance is more important than size.

I am wondering if any of you have heard from the 'Okie Four Pack' in Duncan. I saw where it was listed as being on Thanksgiving weekend this year.

That show went away a couple of years ago. Once shows get on calendars they don't seem to go away . If you check in the Poultry Press it gives all the information for upcoming shows.

Okay, thanks. The reason I was wondering is because it was (until a day or so ago) listed on the Duncan Chamber of Commerce website as an upcoming event :/
