When my parents wouldn't get me a pony, I rode my bicycle to the poultry farm and bought Toulouse goslings. Then I got a half dozen bantam chicks. Of course, if I wanted to ride I should have gotten ostriches.

I eventually got a horse when I was 27 and had a job!
