What makes an egg too porous?

Hello everyone. I have been wondering this for a while now and have researched about it on the Internet, but have not really found the answer to my question. I was wondering why some of the eggs I have been collecting are too porous? They sometimes look like the ones that are shown on websites that people say are too porous to hatch and they usually do not put these eggs in the incubator as they have not had good luck with them. I was just wondering what the reason for this is? I don't see the pores through my refrigerated eggs. I have Buff Orpingtons. They are fed a complete pelleted layer and I add oyster shell to their feed at the amount as stated on the bag. Also, they get plenty of fresh clean water and have grass and dirt to scratch and fluff around in. I hope someone can answer this question as I have not found an answer! Thanks.

Thanks Patrick. They have been laying for a few months now so I would not think it is the age. They appear to be healthy and I have not had any problems with them. They are fed a complete feed with added oyster shell. I don't use any chemicals around them. When I clean out their nest box I just spray it with water and maybe use a little dish washing liquid like Dawn and rinse it out good, but I don't have to clean it very often as they don't sleep in it and I gather eggs pretty often during the day to prevent them from getting dirty. So, I am still puzzled what it could be. I'm not sure about the hormone imbalance?
