    Default Engagement

Late this morning I had a surprise in store. My boyfriend, who has a favorite Cochin rooster, called me outside to say his rooster had a bump on his neck. While I was thinking cyst I did not anticipate a ribbon and box under his abundant neck feathers. Stephen got on one knee, rooster in arm, and proposed. Some bump!

I said yes to the boyfriend and told the rooster better luck next time. It was a chicken-related story I thought I'd share. In the meantime I'm still in a state of shock and awe, and my parents don't even know yet. TPC's priviledged.

Thank you! He's a one in a million for sure. Anyone who'll let me raise the animals I have a mind to, poultry included, is a true keeper. I even made him appreciate chickens more so I figure it's a win-win.

If we all go again to Cobleskill this year I'll be sure to track you down. And possibly distract him while I buy a pair of modern games.

Congratulations! That was so romantic. Who will think of relating a chicken into a proposal? So unique! Best wishes to both of you.

Thank you, littlechik. I'm sure we'll have a long life of poultry ahead of us.
