Thanks for all the good wishes everyone. Thanks to my late husband's foresight in having the new house set 2' higher, the water crested with less than 3 '' to spare! It dropped fast on Fri., I waited until it was about waist deep , picked up the dog, & waded home! The buildings out back are a mess but I'll deal. The hard part will be cleaning up 15 bags of feed + what was in the bins. Phew!

An apology for not attending your show. We have been up there 3 years in a row until this year. It is one of my favorite shows of the year. We will be back there next year though. And to Evy, Good Luck. We also live right next to the Susquehanna, and they 48 of the 50 gates open, but we are on the top of a hill, so we lucked out. The town just below us, is going to be decimated though. They said that the river is going to crest 11-14 feet above flood level and it has not been that high since Hurricane Agnes back in 72'

Hi Ken - we missed you and Brody and the rest of our friends from Maryland. We look forward to seeing you at next year's show. This will be our 30th and naturally we are planning to do a few extra things. Should be a great time.

Floods just are not your element. Too bad it wasn't a tornado. Then you could just hop on your bike to get home.............and your little dog too.

Patrick, I think you are forgetting about one thing. Remember those pesky flying monkeys??? I think I am safe here but to be on the safe side I think I'll keep watching the radar

If I weren't so tired, muddy & wet, I'd hop on my broom & go get him!!!! Actually, my angel...a ENYPA ''member'' just left for home...2 .5 hours away! We've worked tirelessly for 2 1/2 days cleaning out 4 muddy buildings & the muddy /shitty ( pardon me) barn, shoveling sand, digging nest boxes out of the bushes, resetting rail fence, fixing doors, replacing floors, washing everything. We even found 1/2 of the bee hive 200' away from it's spot & carried it back...bees & all. I've still got to inventory everything in Dicks shop, but I'm a happy woman ! Poultry people are the BEST !!!!
