BBW vs BBB Turkey
Just wondering if there is any difference beyond color in the broad breasted white and broad breasted bronze turkey.
Growth rate and feed conversion?
I just want 2-3 for my table. It looks like there is going to be an issue with buying small numbers. So if I find bronze, should I grab them up, or should I hold out for the white?
The Whites are worked with exclusively by the commercial companies who are constantly working to improve them. The Bronze are not used on a commercial scale much, if at all, and so there is little incentive to devote a lot of effort to their improvement. The Whites are likely to be more efficient. I'm surprised that anyone bothers keeping the parent stock needed to produce BB Bronze anymore. There can't be that much demand or profit from it, compared to the whites.
