    Wink Cackling Canada eggs?

    Hi,
    Is it possible to buy them?
    I can't find any.......sorry if this shouldn't be posted in this forum.

    Your best bet might be to join this group & get their magazine. http://www.apwsbirds.com/about-us/of...mittee-members They've been around a long time & are a great source for gamebirds & wild waterfowl.

    Good advice from Evy, but even so you will hard pressed to find fertile eggs for sale from them or any of the other wild waterfowl, even species and varieties which are commonly bred in captivity. Many people make the incorrect assumption that because eggs and day old chicks are commonly swapped among amateur poultry breeders, the same holds true for all other birds. If they don't require specialized incubation techniques, most non-domestics certainly require specialized brooding and/or feeding methods that those who are familiar with only domestic poultry are unlikely to be aware of. It's not like they lay an egg a day all spring and summer like poultry, so most wildfowl breeders usually hatch all of their eggs themselves, selling excess stock only when they know what they are able to part with when the birds are grown, at the end of the season.
