    Default Treatment for Feather Mites?

What is the best treatment for feather mites. Does the treatment for northern fowl mites work on feather mites?

    Thanks.

Go get you some cow and calf dust from the feed store...dust generously and clean your coop.

Thank you. I had to treat for northern fowl mites. The sparrows are being a problem again. Was hoping the same treatment would work for both.

I use Sevin dust- 10%- sprinkled liberally on.under the feathers of the birds and it kills both. I do it twice a year, spring and fall, and really don't have a problem any longer.

I always say "Cow and Calf", but it's actually Sevin dust. It'll do the trick.

Jungle, how are the babies? I'm sure you have new ones now.

    Jungle,

Thanks. I admit I was a little confused by "cow and calf dust" which had me thinking Ivermec. Which isn't a dust. Now I know what dust to get. Thanks again.
