    Default Soiled Ducklings

I have two Pekin ducklings two weeks old who always have soiled rear ends. I can clean them but it keeps coming back. When they were only a few days old I found what could have been an ant exoskeleton part caught around the outside of the vent and was able to remove them from both without too much trauma. Is this anything to be concerned about? Should I keep them separate from the others? Will they outgrow it?

Do you mean pasted up or just excretment from the brooder? At 2 weeks they should have swim water. That would help keep them clean. What are they eating ? If it's pasting, too rich a diet can cause it.

I think it's pasting because they get it wherever they are. They're being fed the same as the others without the affliction and that is Turkey and game feed. They do have access to swimming water.

That might be a little too high protein. It might cause angel wing. Maybe getting them out on the lawn would give them some fiber or something.
