APA/IWBA national Shows

GREAT APA/IWBA National Show at Ventura. Nearly 400 waterfowl entered with Champion Waterfowl going to a beautiful Gray Call Drake from Mahlum's Waterfowl in Oregon. Reserve Waterfowll was an exceptional Brown China Gander from Melissa Hobbs of Colorado. Photos and more details will be on the IWBA website soon.

If I am not mistaken the Champion Waterfowl was actually a White Call drake by the same exhibitor. That is what was on Champion Row anyway. Not to take anything away from the old Gray drake and young Gray drake that won BV and RV since they were both exceptional. There was a little confusion with the bantam ducks on Champion Row with two White drakes. It was the APA National and setting up the Champion Row they placed the Champion Bantam Duck and the Reserve Champion APA Bantam Duck with the rest of the bantams. The Reserve Champion ABA Bantam Duck was a Mandarin. I may be mistaken since there was a whole lot going on and lots of great folks to visit with.

But the APA Reserve Duck was a PEKIN!
